The Design Automation Conference, standards
development activity around enhancements to VHDL and Verilog took place.
The VHDL team met to discuss their plans for VHDL-200x and to get
additional user feedback. For
the latest information on the evolution of the VHDL language and on
information how you can get them your feedback, visit the VHDL-200x
site
On the Verilog front,
Accellera hosted a SystemVerilog 3.1 workshop at DAC.
Accellera’s recent ratification of SystemVerilog 3.1 provides
the industry with the first unified design and verification language.
A SystemVerilog website has
been launched to serve as an online community to provide reference
material, tutorials, papers, news and events related to SystemVerilog
adoption. You are encouraged to visit the site to download workshop
presentations you find of interest or did not have the opportunity to
see in person.
